• As a seasoned multidisciplinary professional in the fintech sector, I spearheaded the establishment of BUX’s first Engineering Hub in Belgrade, a strategic move that marked a new chapter in the company’s growth.
• This initiative represented a significant expansion of BUX’s operational footprint, and enabled the company to have an access to a wider pool of engineering talent.
• I managed all operational aspects of this project, ensuring smooth functioning from its inception to daily operations.

My Role

• Collaboration with Experts: I partnered with legal and financial professionals to navigate Serbia’s business regulations and laws, ensuring our operations were fully compliant and optimally structured.
• Selecting and Equipping the Office: I led the search and setup of our office space, focusing on a location that fostered growth and innovation. This involved not only securing the space but also ensuring it was fully equipped with the necessary technology and comforts for our team.
• Ensuring a Productive Workspace: A top priority was to provide our team with the essential tools and a supportive work environment. This meant equipping them with high-quality tech and creating a workspace conducive to productivity and comfort.
• Talent Acquisition: A key part of my role was to identify and recruit top engineering talent. I focused on assembling a team capable of driving innovation in financial technology, maintaining the high standards BUX is known for. This led to the formation of a highly skilled team that significantly contributed to several key projects.

Cultural Integration & Local PR Efforts

• I facilitated the cultural integration of the Serbian team with the broader BUX culture, ensuring a cohesive work environment that embraced the diverse backgrounds of our team members.
• I also reached out to local media and managed to get a feature in the region’s most read online tech publication, Netokracija, which significantly boosted the rate at which candidates applied for our vacancies.
